Twelve years ago my younger son Dave showed up
in my office holding my Java tutorial.
Dave asked me to teach him programming
so he could create computer games.
By that time I had already written a couple of books
on Java and taught multiple classes on computer programming,
but those were for grown-ups;
Amazon didn’t have any books about programming suitable for kids.
After spending hours on Google I could only find
some basic attempts to create Java courses for kids,
or very basic reader-rabbit-style books.
So I decided to write a book by myself.
