(感覺是前兩篇的綜合版) Google 被踢爆前言不對後語現計劃恢復 WP 上使用網頁版 Google Map http://welovewp.hk/post13090/ 本站昨天為大家報導過 Google 如何以各種不公平手法打壓我們一眾WP用家, 當中包括 Google 禁止WP 使用網頁版 Google Map, 在外國大量資訊網站報導此消息後, Google 馬上向Gizmodo 公開表示: 行動版 Google Map 是針對WebKit 架構的瀏覽器(Chrome, Safari) 而開發的, 但因為 Internet Explorer 並非使用WebKit 架構, 所以WP裝置才不能使用網上版Google Maps The mobile web version of Google Maps is optimized for WebKit browsers such as Chrome and Safari. However, since Internet Explorer is not a WebKit browser, Windows Phone devices are not able to access Google Maps for the mobile web. 其實WP8 跟 Windows 8 的 IE10 架構上是一樣的, 所以電腦可以用桌面版 Google Maps, 理論上電話都可以使用。以上短片亦能證明 WP8的IE10 曾經可以正常使用桌面版 Google Maps UK, 但 Google 卻在後台作出小動作改動, 讓所有訪問Google Maps 的 WP8 裝置都被轉到 Google首頁, 至於這個改動的真正原因, 當然只有 Google 自己才知道了! 至於Google 昨天利用 WebKit 架構問題作為解釋的理由, 亦馬上被網友踢爆只要將手機的 UserAgent 更改為 Android 手機後, Lumia 920 其實亦能成功且正常地使用網頁版 Google Maps, 還製作以下的動手玩影片: 被踢爆的 Google 當然馬上作出消毒, 向 The Verge 提供最新版的封殺服務暫停原因, 還表示正計劃移除以上限制: “We periodically test Google Maps compatibility with mobile browsers to make sure we deliver the best experience for those users. In our last test, IE mobile still did not offer a good maps experience with no ability to pan or zoom and perform basic map functionality. As a result, we chose to continue to redirect IE mobile users to Google.com where they could at least make local searches. The Firefox mobile browser did offer a somewhat better user experience and that’s why there is no redirect for those users. Recent improvements to IE mobile and Google Maps now deliver a better experience and we are currently working to remove the redirect. We will continue to test Google Maps compatibility with other mobile browsers to ensure the best possible experience for users." 其實我們都會定期對各種行動裝備瀏覽器作出測試以確保我們的使用者有最好的體驗。(萊特按:此處應該不包括WP上的使用者) 因為我們在最近一次測試中發現, 行動版 IE 因為未能作出縮放等地圖的基本功能, 所以會為訪問 Google Maps 的行動版IE使用者跳轉到 Google.com 以提供基本的搜尋服務。因為行動版 Firefox 瀏覽器有相對較好的體驗, 所以我們並未對 Firefox 使用作出跳轉處理。近期我們發現行動版IE 的效能有所改善, 讓操作 Google Maps 時有更好的表現, 所以我們正努力去移除以上的跳轉動作。而我們亦會繼續為各種行動瀏覽器作出測試, 以提供最好的 Google Maps 使用體驗。以小編的理解, Google 解釋“昨天" 封殺 WP 使用 Google Maps 的原因由不支援 WebKit 架構, 到二十四小時內改口為IE行動版效能不足, 但同時又說 IE行動版最近的效能改善已經達到能操作 Google Maps 的水平。讓人懷疑WP8推出一個多月後的昨天, Google 竟然會未測試就先判IE10 死刑, 直到事情鬧大後才後知後覺地於週末作緊急測試 , 並發現 WP8 的IE10 原來能完美使用網頁版 Google Maps?? 這些解釋當中是否前後矛盾及有否合理性, 還請各讀者自行判斷了! --
