[情報] SSD可以放Pagefile（分頁檔）
之前在版上看到有使用者建議不要把Windows的分頁檔案放到SSD中
今天終於翻到之前看到的Blog文章，來自微軟的MSDN

Should the pagefile be placed on SSDs?
Yes. Most pagefile operations are small random reads or larger sequential
writes, both of which are types of operations that SSDs handle well.
In looking at telemetry data from thousands of traces and focusing on
pagefile reads and writes, we find that
* Pagefile.sys reads outnumber pagefile.sys writes by about 40 to 1,
* Pagefile.sys read sizes are typically quite small, with 67% less than
or equal to 4 KB, and 88% less than 16 KB.
* Pagefile.sys writes are relatively large, with 62% greater than or
equal to 128 KB and 45% being exactly 1 MB in size.
In fact, given typical pagefile reference patterns and the favorable
performance characteristics SSDs have on those patterns, there are few files
better than the pagefile to place on an SSD.
簡單翻譯：
Q：SSD適合放分頁檔嗎？
A：非常適合，大多數分頁檔操作都是小檔案隨機讀取，或者相對較大的循序寫入
這兩種操作對SSD來說都可以運作的非常好。
根據我們的遠端監控統計資料，發現：
＊ 分頁檔讀取和寫入的比例大約是40：1
＊ 67％的讀取都是4KB以下，88％的讀取都是16KB以下
＊ 分頁檔的寫入相對較大，62％的寫入大於128KB，45％的寫入約1MB
總結來說，分頁檔案非常適合放在SSD

至於微軟怎麼監控大家的分頁檔使用情況……恩，再說吧
順便一提，休眠檔案（Hibernate）不適合放在SSD，有SSD記得去關掉休眠功能吧
