My kernel, my ass
Hi again,
to increase the signal to noise ratio of
this group, which kernel do you use
for the time being.
I am running the kernel 2.6.27.43 and
never managed to even boot up the
versions 2.6.32.X, 2.6.33.X. They crashed
either on starting X or was not even able
to complete the boot-process to the pid 1.
Do you have any idea what I might be
missing?
The 2.6.32.x has been announced to be
maintained in a long-term basis.
But I seem to experienced "regression"
of the 2.6.27.45 and have been waiting
for 2.6.27.46 for quite a long while.
Most of my computers on which I'm running
Linux are in need of the i915.ko and drm.ko
regards
Rudi
