Addresses in the range FF3x::8000:0000 through FF3x::FFFF:FFFF are allowed for dynamic allocation by a host, as described in [IPv6-MALLOC]. Addresses in the range FF3x::0000:0000 through FF3x::3FFF:FFFF are invalid IPv6 SSM addresses. ([IPv6-MALLOC] indicates that FF3x::0000:0001 to FF3x::3FFF:FFFF must set P=0 and T=0, but for SSM, [IPv6-UBM] mandates that P=1 and T=1, hence their designation as invalid.) The treatment of a packet sent to such an invalid address is undefined -- a router or host MAY choose to drop such a packet. ======== 照原文，你應該是要拿來全球使用的吧? 假設你所申請到的全球唯一network prefix是2001:0C08:1234:5678::/64 那你的IPv6 Source-specific Multicast IP應該是 FF3E:0040:2001:0C08:1234:5678:xxxx:xxxx 解釋如下: FF Multicast首碼 3 Unicast-Prefix-based(基於單撥領域)的位址 E 有效範圍為全球 00 保留為00 40 子網路長度(在此為64bit=0x40) 2001:0C08:1234:5678 你的IP前綴(network prefix) xxxx:xxxx 自訂Group ID 也就是說，只有最後32bit是可以自行指定的不過也有4億個Group ID可以用就是了細節可參見RFC3306 http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3306 第七章有一個/96的範例另外，RFC3307有針對Group ID做進一步討論 http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3307 -- 標題 Re: [討論] 這是紀錄的一晚嗎？
