Google in Discussions With Chinese Government
Google Inc. is in conversations with the Chinese goverment, Chief Executive
Officer Eric Schmidt said today on a conference call with analysts.
The company continues to follow Chinese law and offers censored results on
its Web site, Schmidt said, adding that in a “reasonably short time from now
we will be making some changes there.”
“We’ve made a strong statement that we wish to remain in China,” he said.
