Problem setting up a server
foreword: i am a chinese and understand the language perfectly. the reason
i'm typing in english is that my english xp somehow doesn't let me type
chinese while logging on to ptt.
i have installed Guild FTPd and set the server up according entirely to
the tutorial. i am sure i didn't make any mistake....which means the
problem is something more subtle
when my friend tries to connect to my server, he receives error saying
something about socket reading error.
i know i'm not giving a lot detail here. sorry i'm not very good at computer.
all i wish is to hear from you guys what is possibly wrong. i have made
exception on xp firewall. oh by the way i'm using academic network.
any suggestion will be appreciated, thank you~~~~
