1. synchronize the clocks on computer A and B.
2. make sure rsync(1) is installed on both.
3. Try, on the host_A, for instance,
$ rsync -avzuxH /blah/dir1/ host_B:/blah/dir2/
(nota bena! the trailing slashes are relevant!)
4. Try also,
$ rsync -avzuxH --delete /blah/dir1/ host_B:/blah/dir2/
to remove the files in the dir2/ which do not
appear in dir1/.
5. This way (the options), the whole system
(including /dev/) may also be duplicated
(at least for myself).
