Emacs 24.2 於 2012-08-27 發布. Emacs 24.2 是一個 bugfix 版本: It fixes a security flaw which allowed automatic code execution via file-local variables when the user option `enable-local-variables' is changed from its default value to `:safe' (CVE-2012-3479), plus many other bugs. Tar balls 可在 GNU ftp site ftp.gnu.org/gnu/emacs/ 取得.
